Review & Approval

When the draft is ready, the owner submits it for review. This moves the question from “Drafting” to “In Review” status and opens it for formal approval.

Submitting for Review

Click Submit for Review in the action bar. This signals to the team that the draft is complete and ready for evaluation. Reviewers and collaborators who haven’t yet approved will see the question under Needs My Review in their sidebar. As the owner, you’ll find it under Waiting.

Any expert whose categories match the question can now join as a reviewer (even if they weren’t previously involved).

The Approval Process

Each participant — owner, collaborators, and reviewers — has an approval vote. The Team tab shows who has approved and who hasn’t, with checkmarks and timestamps.

To approve, click Approve in the action bar. If you change your mind, click Revoke Approval to withdraw it.

If edits are made while the question is in review (for example, to incorporate feedback), the review is withdrawn — the question moves back to “Drafting” status and all approvals are cleared. The owner must re-submit for review before new approvals can be cast. This ensures reviewers are always approving the latest version of the answer.

Auto-Publishing

The answer publishes automatically once two or more participants have approved the latest version. No one needs to click a separate “publish” button — reaching two approvals is the trigger. The owner does not need to be one of the two approvers.

This means:

  • If you’re the only expert on a question, you need at least one reviewer or collaborator before the answer can be published. Invite someone from the Team tab.
  • Once any two participants approve the current version, the answer publishes immediately.

The two-approval minimum ensures that every published answer has been reviewed by at least one peer.
